stops reading every five seconds because it wants you to upgrade
Barely finished a sentence before pop up for full version came up. And then it came up again another sentence later. Unable to even try the app.
This app is a joke wont even allow for downloading text books from drop box probably should have read reviews waste of 1 min
The reader mispronounces something fierce and the annoying upgrade pops up every 3 seconds. Literally. That means Im still looking for a decent PDF aloud reader.
The voice is ok, but there are a lot of bugs: Even if you set it to turn pages for you when the end of a page is reached, you still have to turn the page manually, which ruins its use as a hands free tool. It does not allow you to start reading at any point on a page besides the top, so for every page of an article it will read from the header through to the page number. It does not retain where it left off reading, so if you close out of the app it starts from the beginning. & as a previous reviewer wrote, the pronunciations for some common words are terrible, like "interference" and "conference," let alone more jargony words. It also translates acronyms inappropriately- for example, in one article "EST" was written in reference to a type of therapy, and the program automatically said "Eastern Standard Time". This app is very frustrating overall.
